Papernstitch Exhibition

A few weeks ago, we were invited to join Papernstitch.com's September-October exhibition and we did! The exhibition runs from September 30th to October 25th and will showcase decal designs from both our Etsy store and our Website:)

It's basically a website that provides people with a one-stop shop for good quality original hand-made stuff without having to weed through the millions of shops on the net (in short, the weeding's been done for you!).

Those who are interested in purchasing a product they like from Papernstitch can even click on the "Buy Now" button and the link will immediately bring them directly to that product's page.

Check out our showcase on Papernstitch here or browse all the showcases on Papernstitch here.

Birdcage and Perch Set with 4 Cute Little Birds - NEW DESIGN

Hi everyone! I've just added a new design - a Birdcage and Perch with 4 cute little birdies decal set. I added a perch in this set because i thought the little birdies might be happier chilling outside their cage once in a while:)

You will get to pick 1 colour for the cage & perch and 2 colours for the birdies. Mix and match from 50 different vinyl colours or if you like what you see, just pick white, red and yellow:) Check out our colour swatches!

When arranged as shown in the pic above, the birdcage decal measures a total of 24.5" wide x 34.45" high. Here are their separate measurements:

Birdcage 8.7" wide x 10.7" high
Perch 6.4" wide x 6.6" high
Link chains are 15.3-23.8" long
Birds are 2.7-3.1" wide x 2-2.6" high

Custom sizes are most welcome:) Simply email us and we'll get back to you with the adjusted price. These little ones can't wait to get to their new homes, so if you'd like to welcome them into your home today, here are their direct links: Etsy Store or Website.

Evangelione's little world...

Ooohh...Aren't these the most darling miniatures? Love how much detail goes into her work. Miniatures make great wall decorations framed up. Probably the best way to protect them from collecting dust unless you're planning to collect enough to fill a whole display cabinet. The suitcase necklace is vintage neat too, doncha think?...doesn't hurt that she's from Malaysia:)

It's 6am and I'm awake...

Toilet training my 2 and a half year old boy has been a breeze... during the day anyways...we've successfully taken him off his diapers with very few accidents...and he prompts us when he needs to go to the loo:)

It's the night that hurts me the most...why i say hurt? Because it's the bed or my precious lounging couch that GETS IT. The bed...we're planning to change to a bigger one (once he's toilet trained nights anyways) but the couch! the couch! I chose everything from the sponge, to the covers material and as i mentioned before, it's precious...

I can wash everything...but what do i do with the sponge (or mattressy bit). Sun it on the driveway floor? Sigh...i guess this is all part of having kids...make sure you don't have perishable (and i don't mean the edible kind) or precious things lying around... else they WILL perish...haha!:)

Like I said, it's 6am (well, 7am now) and I've been working on a top secret project:) If it ever gets up to standard, I might showcase it and might even put some stuff up for sale. For now though, it's an obsession i need to get out of my system. I thank all the patient and loving husbands for letting their wives go a bit mad the obsessive way:)

An hour or so more to go...and i'll get to see the smiles on both my angel's faces.. Good Morning, World!

Call me ignorant...

but i never knew we had such beautiful stamps. I mean i knew we had lovely fruit stamps, bird stamps etc around the 30 cents and 50 cents range but since using Malaysian Registered Post and shipping overseas, I've had the lovely opportunity of seeing the more expensive and colourful RM10, RM20 and RM5 stamps..and they are BEE-U-tiful!

Unfortunately for me, i can't keep these stamps...otherwise, my shipment might as well lie in the gutter and wait for the heavy rainfall to take it to sea where it will float (or sink) to its destination.

Then came a special request from one of my customers asking me to include any used Malaysian stamps i had lying around with her order. That got me thinking... so i went-a-hunting around the house and found me...wait for it....a paltry 3 pieces of used stamps.

Fortunately, I have an awesome aunt who has been collecting every stamp she's received in the mail since the beginning of time and has graciously obliged to part with a few duplicates.

I'm making it a point now to start a little passive collection of stamps...for a few reasons:
1) Stamps are such tiny, beautiful pieces of art...i wouldn't mind a little collection..

2) The next time i have a request like this, i won't have to go digging around other people's mailboxes...hehe...it's not like i did it this time, k?

3) If I'm not filthy rich when i'm old and unable to hold a mouse any longer...i'll have the stamps to help pay for my remaining days on earth..

Check out our lovely Malaysian Stamp Gallery. If you're an avid stamp collector, you can even register with the Malaysian Post to get stamp collections mailed directly to you, wherever you are. Register here:)
